Ed Hoogenkamp has played top level bridge for many years, both in the national Dutch and international arena (he played for the Dutch team in several international championships). He held several positions amongst which trainer of the Dutch national women's team en captain of the Dutch open team.
Since more than 20 years he gives classes and trainings on all levels. Furthermore since more than 15 years he is an author for the magazine BRIDGE. Dutch readers probably know him from instructive articles but also from the comical sequence 'Barrie en Harrie', about a pair of twins being given bridge lessons by their Grandfather.

Two years ago a new bridge course was published, 'Van A naar Bridge' (From A to Bridge), written by Ed Hoogenkamp en Peter van der Linden.

Like no other Hoogenkamp understands the problems bridge novices face on their rocky road to understanding bidding principles. He pinpoints the problems crystal clearly, gives practical advice and, importantly, he never loses sight of the humorous aspects.
